I have always had great respect and admiration for photographers. For many years I flipped through amazing albums of stunning images of all kinds. Portraiture, landscapes, still life - it amazed me to see the colours and detail that were in a perfectly framed picture.

Portraiture was the one area I especially loved. A striking black and white image with expressions that tells us a story of someone's feelings and personality. Or a bright bold colour portrait of an innocent child with big bright eyes, captured at the perfect moment.
